Grass for mulch... 5/5/13 5/5/13.. This Spring the grass overtook us so when we finally cut it, we had lots and lots of fresh grass cuttings. Rather than add them to our compost hill, we used them as mulch on several of our display beds. My thinking is that they will provide a mulch covering while adding all kinds of good nutrients to the soil. After thinking on this overnight, I had a sudden vision of grass growing up in all these special Display Beds. I ran out with my Preen first thing and put a generous amount on the clippings. I am thinking I will add some Alfalfa Tea to each bed too then mix the Alfalfa with the grass mulch. We shall see.
